Laying Out Trials in the Farmer Fields

  • To evaluate products under real farmer cultivation conditions.
  • To test products in various geographies, climatic zones, seasons, and different management practices.
  • To collect data and feedback from farmers and field teams to select consistently performing products for advancement.
  • Ensures that selected products have already been validated in the farmers’ own fields.
  • Trials and testing are conducted at farmers’ fields.
  • All cultivation operations are managed by farmers to evaluate real-world performance.
  • Each product is tested over a 2-year period across diverse locations.
  • After successful evaluation, products move to the “On Farm Demonstration” (OFD) stage in large plots.
  • Extensive feedback is gathered from visiting farmers.
  • Only products with consistent superior performance are taken forward for commercialization.
